Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller

The Data Controller is Igor Squadra, developer of the Lab Sport Tech application ("the App").

2. Data Collected

The following data is processed exclusively on the user's device and never leaves the device:

• Videos and images imported by the user from their photo library or from cloud sources (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox)
• Timeline markers, annotations, drawings, and exported clips, stored locally via UserDefaults or the device file system
• App preferences (iCloud backup enabled/disabled, synchronization settings)

If the user enables iCloud Backup, files are synchronized to the user's personal iCloud account, managed by Apple and subject to its Privacy Policy.

For Premium subscription management and the free trial period, the following data is processed via RevenueCat and Apple App Store:

• An anonymous user identifier (App User ID) automatically generated by the App, not linked to a name, email, or other personal information
• Subscription status (active / trial / expired) and Apple transaction identifier
• Technical information about the device and the App Store country, provided by Apple to RevenueCat to validate the purchase

Name, email, payment data, and payment method are never transmitted to the App: they are handled exclusively by Apple according to its Privacy Policy.

3. Purposes of Processing

Data is processed exclusively for:

• Providing the App's features (video playback, annotations, sports analysis, clip export)
• Synchronizing the user's content to their iCloud account (only if enabled by the user)
• Managing Premium subscriptions, the free trial period, and validating in-app purchases
• Improving the user experience through locally saved preferences

4. Legal Basis (GDPR Art. 6)

Data processing is based on:

• Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): processing necessary to provide the services requested by the user
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): for iCloud synchronization, which can be freely enabled and disabled in the App Settings

5. Sharing with Third Parties

The App does NOT sell or transfer personal data to third parties for marketing or profiling purposes.

The following technical services, strictly necessary for the App to function, are used:

• Apple iCloud — optional synchronization of user content, enabled exclusively at the user's explicit request (Apple Privacy Policy)
• Apple App Store — management of in-app purchases and Premium subscriptions (Apple Privacy Policy)
• RevenueCat — validation and management of subscriptions and the free trial period (RevenueCat Privacy Policy)

All video analysis features (playback, annotations, markers, clip export) are performed entirely on-device, with no data transmission to external servers.

6. Data Retention

Data (videos, annotations, preferences) is retained on the user's device until:

• The user deletes it manually from the App or the device
• The App is uninstalled (local data is automatically removed by iOS)

Data synchronized to iCloud is subject to Apple's retention policies.

7. User Rights (GDPR Art. 15–22)

As a user in the European Union, you have the right to:

• Access (Art. 15): obtain a copy of the data concerning you
• Rectification (Art. 16): correct inaccurate data
• Erasure ("right to be forgotten", Art. 17): request the removal of your data
• Restriction of processing (Art. 18)
• Portability (Art. 20): receive data in a machine-readable format
• Objection (Art. 21): object to processing

8. Children's Data

The App is not intended for users under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided personal data, please contact us for immediate removal.

9. Security

The App does not transmit data to external servers. The security of local data and data synchronized to iCloud is guaranteed by the security measures of iOS/iPadOS and Apple.

10. Changes to the Privacy Policy

Any changes will be communicated through App updates on the App Store. The date of the most recent update is shown at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after the publication of changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
